The last two nights, the 10th Doctor has visited my dreams.  Not in a naked way, but an adventuring way (better).  Last night featured me for a bit of it as Professor River Song.
It took David Tennant a season and a half and (primarily) lack of Rose to grow on me, but grow he did.  Part talent, part the little crinkly thing that happens at the corners of his eyes when he smiles.
Tonight I watch End of Days.  I think then I may go back and rewatch all the Moffatt episodes, just to prolong the Tennanty goodness.
Not that I don't love Matt Smith.  I do.  But I feel oddly proud that I find Tennant attractive now, mostly because he is just my age, and I didn't think I did that much - that is, find men attractive who aren't a good deal younger.  It suggests that there might actually be someone in the real world I might be attracted to some time, and not in that cougar way.
Real world - unless of course, one of you wants to give David Tennant my phone number.  Which you could absolutely do.  I'd be entirely fine with that.

It took a while for Tennant to grow on me. I first felt the, "Yeah, that's the Doctor!" in School Reunion. I love him as an actor, I love him as a fanboy, and I love him as the Tenth Doctor... but I do not love how RTD made it all maudlin and messy. Mind, I think Russell Davies is genius in a lot of what he did, and I'm not sure anyone else could have rebooted the franchise as he did... I'm just harboring a pooload of resentment as to how he ended his own run.

Ugh.

Suffice it to say, though, that Tennant is brilliant. And so is Matt Smith. And so is Eccleston. And so are the others who came before. And I love that the Doctor abides, and that I'm lucky enough to enjoy the wealth of story this character and these many writers and producers have given to us.

I am so lame. :P

Russell T is, with a very few exceptions, every reason that I don't really like sci-fi. Cybermen my aching ass.

And End of Time (I feel like a twit that I kept calling it End of Days, which was that stupid Schwarzenegger film - though really, it was only slightly better) gave me a migraine.

Tomorrow Imma rewatch The Girl In The Fireplace. Then a John Wayne film or two to cleanse the palate, and then S5, which I have mostly seen, but will rewatch most of just for funzies.

PS, is it you who has the icon from when he's leaving the Library in Forest of the Dead? Can you use it when you reply to me next that I might gaze at it and sigh (I think those two were my favourites)?
