 This is really awful. James Marsters is helping, but the writing...and this guy they found to play Jack's emo brother? He's TERRIBLE.  Is the writing always this bad and I don't notice because the actors (apart from John Barrowman) are good?  I'll keep going, but good GOD.  I mean, yay the ensemble cast, but Barrowman, pretty though he may be to people who aren't me, just isn't strong enough to lead it.  It didn't get truly painful until this episode (Exit Wounds), but man, this is bad. It's just bad.  There's James Marsters and Burn Gorman, and a whole world of badly written, cheesily-directed bad.  Wow.

PS, watching Children of Earth now, but if we're not snowed in tomorrow, I may say screw it. This is pushing watchability.
