*preeeeen*
Mar. 30th, 2011 05:19 pmI don't want to jinx it because it is early yet, but this has been a good day.
First of all, I LOVE the song I wrote for Pirate Day. LOVE. It's the first song I have ever written for the ukelele, and I never think I can write proper songs, but the ukelele is SO much more fun to write for than the piano (less temptation to make it this grand bucket of emo), and it is clever and educational and ALL WRITTEN BY ME, and I will practise it and record it and Lars will make a video of it and it will be even more awesome. For those who didn't notice the Facebook status, it is called "A Privateer Is Not A Pirate", and it is dedicated to Bobby Brady and Abby Bartlet, both of whose fictitious lives were affected by people not knowing the difference.
Second, and this is more geekish than life itself - my Dalek apparently is newsworthy. There's this seemingly official Doctor Who blog with "The TARDIS Newsroom" or something (it's linked from my FB, for the interested), and I don't subscribe to it, but my friend does, and she greeted me this morning by letting me know that my Dalek made it in there, under "tid-bits". I guess the person who runs it was trawling CraftyTARDIS, and said he/she really liked it (this was said to me via CraftyTARDIS), and had to put it up. I made a tid-bit!
I'm getting my hair done tomorrow. Blonde streaks. Maybe I'll look like Ginger Spice, maybe not. Either way, I'm looking forward to it. Now if the weather would just get warm so I can go walking more than once a week, since I don't want to go back to kickboxing unless I have to...
And if you haven't seen the S6 preview yet (hop to it already!) - AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! With smooching!!!!! SWOOOOOOOOON
