deadlightsgirl I should be sleeping (kiddo wakes early), but EncoreDrama decided to celebrate Frederic's not-birthday (it being a non-leap year, after all) and show the Pirates of Penzance movie. How can I be expected to sleep though all that happy? And why the sweet evil christ isn't this movie available on DVD? There is a DVD of the Broadway production which boasts almost the same cast sans Angela Lansbury, and anyone with any taste will tell you she makes all the difference.
Gah. It's not like I don't have this on VHS, and it's not like I didn't pop out've bed as soon as I realised it was on (top of act two) to tell tivo to get recording. I'll go to bed. Honest. I can watch tivoed act two tomorrow. Oh wait, singing pirates. I'll go to bed after "with cat-like tread". Can't not watch Kevin Kline and Rex Smith trying to out-macho each other as they both wear tights.
Sorry, rennies...real gang members do ballet, and REAL pirates sing light opera. That is the world in which I live, and you know...it's a good world.
