when worlds collide
Jun. 5th, 2009 11:26 am Obviously, whoever is keeping "Cordy Chase"'s twitter is a Neil Gaiman fan.
Today I got a direct message from her, wanting to see my forget-me-nots tattoo, which she "heard I had round my wrist, a la Easter". She says she is thinking of getting one round her ankle. Fake Cordelia as a tattoo buddy...that is a funny thought.
Now I have to wonder who this chick really is, and how she knows about a tattoo I have never mentioned on twitter (Neil mentioned it once in his blog, one of the times he put up a picture of the Him-Tatt, but that would have taken archive-searching).
I don't feel particularly weirded or anything, it's just further proof that absolutely everyone including the fictional are Gaiman fans (as they should be), and that my inner Cordelia is not a thing I imagine. I messaged her back and said "I love that you knew it was an Easter thing, obviously you and I have more in common than just great hair and slayer hatred".
I think I will have to email him to tell him they clearly read his work in Sunnydale, though I can't imagine he doesn't know.
*edit -- hee, I was TwitterCordy's followfriday choice. I reciprocated.
**edit part two -- just heard back from Neil. He said that the idea that Cordelia read and enjoyed American Gods is an odd one. I said I watched Angel too, and with character evolution I could see her literary taste improving.
