...first there is much squee to share in the form of this --

I just started watching West Wing, finally, after resisting it for ages on MS grounds.
Remember how I had posted to Aaron Sorkin's FB group a while back to tell him thank you for his show making me feel better even though I didn't watch it, and how he posted back within the day?
Well, a woman I work with up here just got diagnosed with it, and I have been nice-ing her. So I figured it was a sign, and when my brother brought me the DVDs, I said sure. Been watching and enjoying though I only just started, and I thought I'd post again to the FB group in case he remembered who I was. This was around four hours ago today. I just checked back, and look --

I can't get enough of you, Cat, you're amazing. Please give your friend my best and wish her godspeed.
It's in the episode "He Shall, From Time to Time" that learn of Bartlet's MS. We learn about it through the eyes of a very worried wife so I hope it's not alarming. A cooler approach is given to the illness in the episode "17 People".
Keep in touch and let me know how things are going.
Aaron

What a fucking cool guy. Even gives me a heads-up on the episode that might upset me.

Oh, and an unrelated squee, I just sang the Bad Horse theme in the middle of the dining room with one of the happier campers here, who does the best Captain Hammer I have ever seen. This is the same guy who got my "Hero of Canton" status.

Lots of squealing in this hour. Lots and lots.
Real stuff later.
