quick note of betterness
Jul. 4th, 2009 01:41 pm I decided to make nice at those what I am pissed at in the interest of the greater good, and it will be helpful. All the things I bitched about in my last post are still true, but I am moving on.
Yoga class is awesome. They don't know I'm faking it, everyone seems to like it (it is VERY popular), and my body is very grateful that I am making it get up and do yoga every morning. My endorphines are kicking for the next few hours.
Fight class also awesome. Doing some very badass unarmed things. Classes are just the right size with kids I love.
I'm also doing the fights for Macbeth. We start with Banquo on Wednesday. Very stoked.
Gracie's schedule is up and running. I also got dad to agree to kids who regularly give Annette a hand getting CIT credit for it.
My mate in video is going to make a Lady Mondegreen video some time. Says he is going to storyboard it this week. It will be to "Truly Madly Deadly", which is his favourite. He gets the new "minion" patch when I see him next.
Gracie has been the queen of awesome since last night. Conked out on her own at 9, slept til 7:30 (at which time she crawled naked into my bed and whispered loudly, "BONJOUR"). Having a regular schedule with her helps so much, and Annette has really stepped up with the fabulous and helpful. The stable didn't work out with Princess yesterday (Jeanne forgot to send a saddle), so today we did a pony ride on Ozzie a great big huge boy I have loved the past two years (though his canter sucks, right
ladyjoust ?); I sat on him bareback, Gracie sat in front of me, and we both got pony-rode. Gracie was adorable and kept hugging his neck. Very sweet, cookie-worthy horseback staff.
Then she sat nicely at the table at lunch and ate a bunch of pasta, cheese, and chips, and both Annette and I were able to sit and eat our sandwiches, though quickly. Now we are home with Chicken Run on before I head out for my afternoon and Gracie gets taken to the pool and circus. Oh, and as soon as we got back to the house, Gracie went to the potty all by herself. No more diapers at all except for sleeping.
It also helps life that for the first time, today the weather doesn't suck. Rob comes up to visit tonight and will stay til Tues night, and Tues is a no-program day I can synch shot day with, so yay there too.
Like I said, everything I bitched about in my last post still applies, but I am dwelling on and therefore reporting the good bits.
