Sweet evil jesus I miss actually fighting instead of just teaching. I forgot a little that I was good at this. Ran both scenes today, the Angel one and the Dangerous Liasons. The Angel one is armed, C. is using Fluffy the broadsword (which makes her VERY happy), and I am using my sais, which are just fun. And it works for Drusilla and Darla.
The Liasons one is far too much fun -- P. has studied stage combat before and is very good, so I don't have to hold back or worry about anyone's performance apart from my own, and we kept giggling when we went up on lines. It's such a get-your-rocks-off scene, and the fight is pretty badass if I do say so, and I get to do this with a fun partner who knows his shit. As
lastwordy_mcgee observed last night, sometimes it does not suck to be me; at least, not up here.
Got through the end of West Wing season 6. Gracie keeps clapping at the campaign scenes. I think she likes the balloons. The writing has gotten better, though I still miss Aaron. Gracie has been saying "curse you Jimmy Smits!" with me, which is very awesome. She has also been saying "I am the god Ganesh!" Me and Homer Simpson are teaching her, we are.
*edit -- PS, I have named the sais Thing One and Thing Two. My dagger has been named after a camper named Rosie, because they are both small and deadly.

Date: 2009-08-01 11:40 pm (UTC)This made me smile on a very low-smile day. Likewise cursing Jimmy Smitts.
And you are a good fighter, Cat. Still, I totally understand. Shan't sully your post, but let's just say I feel you. :/
