deadlightsgirl Show rocked. We had to yell at 2 twits for taking flash pictures (once during my Darla scene, though better me getting distracted by a flash than some kid). Everyone seemed to like it, and all the kids loved the choices of the doofy teen movie scenes (especially the Mean Girls -- I even had a guy at the ready to yell "and I want my pink shirt back!"), and I did NOT get yelled at for having been straddled by the 17-year-old (though I could feel restraint from some, and one of my assistants whispered to me, "you should have seen _______'s face!" Eh, screw it), and both my scenes were tremendous fun, and the Mal/Wash one made me squealy, and the 16 Candles one worked in an homage-y kind of way, and we closed with the lightsaber scene and afterward the girl who played Yoda graciously donated her lightsaber to Gracie. Hopefully I will have pics and footage of the whole thing soon.
The stage version of BATB is squealy and cheesy and awesome, especially when done by talented teenagers (Gaston and Lumiere FTW). My Valmont played Gaston and dedicated all his low notes to me. I could tell. He also worked my Eeldrytch gauntlets VERY well...glad they are getting some happy use.
I need to perform more, friends and neighbours. I really really do. New headshots soon, and back to those boards now Gracie is a bit older. Gotta happen.
