The kid playing Mal couldn't actually fit stage combat into his schedule (he was also the guy who played Macbeth, and recently, Pseudolus), so my lovely assistant Topher (not his real name, but everyone calls him that now in Whedon geek solidarity) hunted him down a few times and taught it to him in what spare time they could find. The audio isn't great, but you get the general idea.
