deadlightsgirl | day goes from bad to Horrible

They have this thing here where they do a late-night viewing of Rocky Horror every summer. The staff hates it, the parents hate it. So this year instead of doing that, we decided to show a screening of Dr Horrible. My friend's idea, I made it happen.

I got down there in my Captain Hammer shirt to host, thinking it would just be a singalong. Next thing I know, this kid shows up in a Dr Horrible costume he had spent the afternoon working on. My Macbeth of earlier in the summer (Mal in the Firefly fight, if you've seen that) and I look at each other and I say dude, should we just switch shirts and I play Penny? So we did. My Captain Hammer shirt is all stretched out, but totally worth it. People jumped in to be the rest of the cast as needed, we performed the whole thing (including this strapping teenager picking me up and carrying me around), and the punchline was the kid who had just played Nugget the horse in Equus jumping in at the end to be Bad Horse.

There are times I really love my life, especially when the day had been such shit before. Pictures soon, I'm told!
