Existential AWESOME
Oct. 10th, 2009 07:51 pm So do any of you remember that Dr Demento classic, Existential Blues? By this mad genius, Tom "T-Bone" Stankus?
Old friend M from NYRF (one of those ultra-sweet Eeldrytch guys) is apparently working some county fair that T-Bone is playing at, and got chummy enough for M to bring up me and my songs, videos, etc. He passed on links, and just got back to me to let me know that so far T-Bone had only gotten to watch the 1985 video but that he LOVED IT and wants to hear more stuff!!!!
It would've been enough to have had my praises sung to a living legend (at least T-Bone is to me), but to have those praises agreed with...!!!!! Big yay, and YAY to M for being an awesome friend and press agent. T-Bone has (he says) virtually no pull in the industry anymore (don't care), but says he would be happy to share words of wisdom, and the fact that he is into hearing more makes me so many kinds of bouncy it isn't even funny. Will this go anywhere? Do I care? Is the validation enough that anything beyond is just gravy? You damn BETCHA.
