 On the heels of my parodies having been praised by T-Bone, on a whim, I looked up Dr Demento online to see if he was still out there doing his thing.  Apparently he is (www.drdemento.com, he's mostly online now with maybe 5 radio stations still playing him), and so I sent him an email along with the link to my YouTube channel and a couple of mp3s, introducing myself and saying I hope the unsolicited submission was okay.  He replied back the same day saying Thank you Cat and he will check these out asap.  This was yesterday.  I figure I'll wait a week and then send a followup and another mp3.  Rob was saying maybe parody is due for a renaissance, but I'm really not worried about that.  I don't care if it never goes anywhere beyond the internet...getting my stuff played on the show of the guy who really was my introduction to non-showtune music would be the greatest thing ever.
