I only used it like an iPod anyway, and it has no SIM card because it isn't activated, but it worked fine for music, and since my old iPod died, I had nothing else.
I wanted to put some more things on it from my iTunes. I plugged it in. It told me it had new software and did I want to upgrade. I said sure. It did its thing. Little did I know that it would resent the override that made the thing work with no SIM card, and now I can't get any of it to work at all. My brother can fix it but he is in FL and god knows when he'll show back up. So I have no portable music til then, unless someone can lend me an AT&T SIM card for a bit -- he says he can fix it with the loan of one. I may just try to go buy one, because no WAY is going to the dentist parts 3 and 4 going to be an option without music. I also may just go shell out fifty bucks for the iPod shuffle I have been wanting to get Gracie for Xmas, and using it myself til then. NOT a thing my day needed though.
