today went okay
Feb. 12th, 2010 11:28 pm Though Gracie took it into her head to be Rebel Girl for much of the afternoon. It's really a toss-up, having company over (Julie came by to help out), because to the right, I have someone to talk to, but to the left, Gracie has an audience for whom to show off. She's learning that Mama don't take her shit, but she don't like it.
BTW, have you been noticing this THING I have been on lately where I don't end sentences with prepositions? Been using the word "whom" a great deal? Don't know why this has been a thing lately, but it has been. Go figure,
ANYWAY. I am still hoping anyone with some time comes by to visit next week, she will be off school and we need to break up the days a little. Shot day went pretty well, considering. I shot up about an hour after she got home yesterday (she helped, counting and kissing the boo-boo), then she slept til 7 in her own bed, bless her, and I put her on the bus and went back to sleep for another few hours. Chilled out til she got home, Julie came over, we had frappuccinos, and I was fine to do the regular evening routine. Good thing Julie was here too, because Bugger had decided to hornk up a hairball on my bed, so I had to wash everything including the comforter, and this was just easier with a wingman. But all is well, maybe she'll sleep through again.
Midway through S2 of Lost. Had I known the extent of the baby stealing/trauma before I got involved, I probably wouldn't have started, as I really don't need tv that is going to upset me just now. Luckily, my sister is enough of a fan that she is able to give me sufficient spoilers, and I am not above getting them from IMDB. "Don't tell me what I can't do" has kind of become my mantra. The only reason Lost makes me kind of wistful and sad is, it really is one of those shows that is just more fun when shared - you know where I'm going with that. Yeah.
Tomorrow, yoga, then the Lodge for Valentine's Day, a thing for which I am thrilled (thank you, 'verse). Mom is thrilled too, that she will get to have Gracie-time on this her first single V-Day in a while also. Have you had your Lady Mondegreen fix this V-Day? Have you told your friends?
Anyway, sleep now. Hey, looka that, a post I can leave public. I'll use as my icon MY Valentine's Day photo, along with a big ole Don't Judge Me. Bye now.
