I'll tell you, on a good listening day, there is nary a child on the planet more fun or awesome than Gracie.  Yesterday was not so much, and the combo of FiOS guy coming and non-listening kiddo plus sinus headache was NOT my friend.  Today, however, I got to mellow out a bit and play with the FiOS (which is so far a very happy thing, a nice thing for my first solo home decision), and when Gracie came home, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and went for a walk straightaway.  A neat thing is that Gracie is now big enough that she wants to and can walk alongside the stroller holding my hand (I can push the stroller with one hand), and it makes it less heavy for me, especially if she wants to walk up the last hill leading to our street, which today she did.  We went to the ice cream place and I left the stroller outside and we went in and Gracie was very good and ordered her own ice cream (I prompted), and then she walked alongside me for the next few blocks.  We met a little girl about Gracie's age and her mother, and played with them for a bit.  When we go to the main drag of town, she played in the outside vestibule of the movie theatre, which is showing Alice, you can see the video I took of her up on facebook.  We stopped at Dunkin Donuts so she could pee, then got a bagel, then home, and she was all sorts of awesome.  Her new favourite DVD is Shaun the Sheep, a Wallace and Gromit spinoff (get it? Shaun?  It's funny cause they're English), and when we got home she watched it and we cuddled and she took her bath with no problem, and went to bed easily and was asleep with her Minnie Mouse by 9:15.  I'm not saying the day was perfect (her school report was not great for yesterday, much better for today, I think it's a coming of the weekend thing) or that I never had to argue with her, but it was so much better.  Wonderful little girl.  It's shot night (she did her job and kissed the boo-boo, she also insisted it be a "boobies bath", where I get in with her), and I hope she sleeps in her own bed all night.  No matter what though, I get to go back to bed after she gets on the bus tomorrow, and then she will have her visit with Rob and mom after school, so I will have most of the day to chill.  Whew.  Yesterday I got a bit frazzled between everything happening and the fact that I hadn't had a break in many days.

Okay, this is a boring Lily-and-Marshall kind of blog entry, I realise that.  But it's nice to be able to post one that I don't have to lock, and to be able to report a day which wasn't vastly stressful nor sad.
