slight whinge
Apr. 19th, 2010 09:05 pmI've been teaching kids' yoga at the place by me since the fall. I have regulars, and apart from a glitch with a parent here or there, the class has been going swimmingly. I got into this because I came back from summer where I taught yoga to teens for nine weeks, and I said I would love to teach a teen class there if they had need. They said no, what we really need now is kids. I said fine. Recently an email was sent out to all teachers to ask if anyone had any ideas for classes they would like to teach while one of the regular instructors is recuperating from rotator cuff surgery. I replied that as stated before, that I would teach a teen class if there was interest. No response. I just got a mass-mail from them talking about new classes, one of which would be a teen class, taught by the woman who teaches kids' the first Sat of the month when I am unavailable. I know she is a more experienced teacher than I am, and if that's why, that's totally valid. I would've just I dunno, like to have been acknowledged or something.
I'm not going to email back because I don't know if it's the PMS talking, and also I don't want to rock the boat. I like my teacher status which gets me free classes whenever I want, and I'll have to tell them soon I'll be gone for the summer anyway. Still...moderate grumble.
